About us
Garden State Dance Arts is comprised of Rosanne Moxley (she/her), Co-Owner & Artistic Director, and Alyssa Noorman (she/her), Co-Owner & Managing Director. We have been dance educators for over 20 years before opening our studio in North Haledon, New Jersey. While in college, Rosanne focused her studies on Child Development and Psychology while Alyssa focused on Business Management. Both of us received our Bachelors Degree at Seton Hall University.
While providing a high-quality dance education is our primary focus, we have also made a commitment to "put the dancer before the dance" - that means that each student's physical, mental, and emotional health always takes precedence over leveling up a new trick or winning a trophy in competition. This commitment can be seen throughout all curricula used at Garden State Dance Arts.
We are excited to make North Haledon our new home for dance and acrobatics. If you see us at a community event be sure to say hello. We can't wait to meet you!

mission
Garden State Dance Arts aims to build strong bodies and strong minds through dance and acrobatics education. We provide a happy, healthy, safe environment using age appropriate music, movement, and costuming. Our creative and current techniques nurture imagination and independence while instilling the importance of teamwork. Our faculty is trained and certified and we strive to provide a quality dance education to all ages, genders, and backgrounds through a supportive, caring, and inclusive environment.
